It got little notice, but on May 28, Sarah Saldana, director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, admitted in a letter to Sens. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) that between fiscal years 2010 and 2014, the Obama administration had released “121 unique criminal aliens who had an active [deportation] case at the time of release and were subsequently charged with homicide-related offenses.”
Think about that: 121 times over the past four years, the administration has released an illegal immigrant with prior criminal convictions who went on to be charged with murder. That is one every 12 days.
This quote comes from an article detailing pro-union Wisconsin government employees abusing their power for the purpose of silencing conservative groups… something the IRS had been doing under the direction of Lois Lerner. Without funding, conservative groups were effectively silenced, smoothing the way for Obama’s 2nd term victory.
O’Keefe’s associates began cancelling meetings with him and declining to take his calls, reasonably fearful that merely associating with him could make them targets of the investigation. O’Keefe was forced to abandon fundraising for the Club because he could no longer guarantee to donors that their identities would remain confidential, could not (due to the Secrecy Order) explain to potential donors the nature of the investigation, could not assuage donors’ fears that they might become targets themselves, and could not assure donors that their money would go to fund advocacy rather than legal expenses. The Club was also paralyzed. Its officials could not associate with its key supporters, and its funds were depleted. It could not engage in issue advocacy for fear of criminal sanction.
Every once in a while the a politician slips up and speaks the truth…
Democrats have spent the past six years attempting a divide and conquer strategy aimed at small slices of the population while ignoring everyone else. Schumer learned a belated lesson from the midterms, and acknowledged it this week. Some Democrats still haven’t gotten the message.
And this was in the comments:
The Democrats could have taken out the credit card and bought a host of real improvements that they could have pointed at for generations… A vigorous, active stimulus would then have shown the Democrats could be trusted to govern and made something like, say, Medicare-for-all much more possible.

Written in 2008 by SFGate columnist Mark Morford. A true “Lightworker” wouldn’t need to stretch constitutional rules to get around a single branch of government having a majority of Republicans.
Dismiss it all you like, but I’ve heard from far too many enormously smart, wise, spiritually attuned people who’ve been intuitively blown away by Obama’s presence – not speeches, not policies, but sheer presence – to say it’s just a clever marketing ploy, a slick gambit carefully orchestrated by hotshot campaign organizers who, once Obama gets into office, will suddenly turn from perky optimists to vile soul-sucking lobbyist whores, with Obama as their suddenly evil, cackling overlord.
Here’s where it gets gooey. Many spiritually advanced people I know not coweringly religious, mind you, but deeply spiritual identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who has the ability to lead us not merely to new foreign policies or health care plans or whatnot, but who can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet, of relating and connecting and engaging with this bizarre earthly experiment. These kinds of people actually help us evolve. They are philosophers and peacemakers of a very high order, and they speak not just to reason or emotion, but to the soul.
The unusual thing is, true Lightworkers almost never appear on such a brutal, spiritually demeaning stage as national politics. This is why Obama is so rare. And this why he is so often compared to Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., to those leaders in our culture whose stirring vibrations still resonate throughout our short history.
Obama isn’t worthy of holding Kennedy’s jock strap. And he had a chance to build on the works of MLK, but instead chose to demean his opponents and divide the country between the have’s and have-nots. That’s not a leader who speaks to the soul – it’s a manipulator who lies to the simple minded.
I’m only highlighting this article because it, and the person it attempts to protect, are getting ripped in the comments.
The polarization of Congress and the public is, in part, thanks to the rhetoric and policy goals that presidents and parties have taken. Presidents cannot play partisan politics and then protest that the country is ungovernable because it is so polarized along partisan lines. Obama has played between rhetoric of uniting people and rhetoric of demonizing opposition. If this has made his job impossible, he largely has himself to blame for it.
America is tough to govern when you try to ram major, unpopular changes down its throat with legislative tricks and illegal unilateral executive changes. It’s supposed to be. And it’s tough to run when you have no career experience doing anything but giving speeches, too. Even when you take all your advice by intellectual giants like Valerie Jarrett.
Really? Obama had a supermajority in the Senate and a 76 seat majority in the House. Leftists are nothing if not consistent in their attempts to re-write history. In his first two years in office Obama faced no Republican opposition because there was none.
If all else fails, lower your expectations. Let the excuse parade begin.
And he was such a brilliant community organizer – who could have known!
