Golfing in the Sun

Played golf yesterday and it was the first time I’d hit a golf ball in in years… yes, YEARS. For those unfamiliar with the frustration known as golf, walking on a course after that many years requires some combination of courage and foolishness. And the more awful my score the more I decided foolishness was the larger portion of the two.

We played at Gilroy Golf Course on Hecker Pass Rd. in Gilroy, CA. Nice course, except it’s a 9 hole played twice to make 18. The weird part is the back 9 tees are different from the front 9, so I was never quite sure where to go the second time around. Still, enjoyed it very much and want to play again after my wrist heals… mashed it real good on a swing that got way more turf than ball… ouch.

Oh, and got a nice sunburn on face and arms. My baseball cap was a brave soldier battling the sun, but in the end it was no match against a cloudless sky.
